The history of cross carpeting in Nigeria’s politics has received a boost, as former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, formally joined the All Progressives congress this week.
Kalu was received by the Chief John Odigie-Oyegun-led National Working Committee of the party at the National Secretariat on Wednesday.
He said he has succumbed to pressures from his friends and well wishers to contribute his quota to building the party in Nigeria especially in the South East.
Political watchers say that the inter-party crossing, will likely increase in the months to come, and that a new party will soon be unveiled.
